However, other things were very good. The best parts were the lovely bar and restaurant. Also the view from the rooms that faced the creek. My room faced the garden and pool and I did not think the view was very special. We had asked for a room with a walk-in shower for my mother. Our request was made right away when we reserved our rooms which we did as soon as we found out that this was going to be the block of rooms reserved for a wedding. They assured us that we would have a room with a walk-in shower. When we got there, we had a room with a large bathtub that my mother was absolutely unable to get into. The staff working at that time were not very accommodating, but in the end did find an appropriate room. So our check-in process really did not go very well. I thought the rooms were very dark in color, but they were clean overall. I had hoped that the pool would be heated, but it was not, so I was disappointed that I couldn’t use the bathing suit that I have packed. The location is excellent being very close to downtown.
