While we stayed, a fire broke out on the 3rd floor of the hotel. The alarms went off & everyone was notified & evacuated, but this fire was very clearly started by a lack of updated electrical work. Outside of our room: ceiling tiles were missing, empty rooms had windows open, and air fresheners were plugged in…that’s all that was done afterwards. It didn’t look like any work was being done, just the ceiling tiles that got burnt were gone. No other information was given to us, no other explanations, just a text that said “you’re good.” We never heard from the hotel again after that.
Not only did we endure a fire evacuation, but the cleaning staff was nonexistent. We traveled to go to a Packers game, so we were gone for almost 12 hours…no “privacy” door handle, I notified the front desk that we needed the room flipped & new towels, but nothing was done. For the second night we stayed we had no clean sheets, no clean towels, overflowing garbage cans, and the room still smelled like smoke.
I’ve had some bad hotel stays, but this one takes the cake. Absolutely no consideration for the guests. Would NOT stay again.
