A true Mountain Experience!! With a massive, panoramic view, GrandView offers both rustic and luxury elegance. GrandView is a newly renovated and professionally decorated mountain cabin. Set in the Banner Elk subdivision of Grey Fox, a gated community, GrandView is conveniently located within 5 minutes of both Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain Ski Resorts with both offering fantastic year-round activities.

This open-floor plan cottage offers the opportunity to sit on the sofa or dine at the large rustic table (seats 10) and enjoy a coveted, wide open, long range view. Every room in the house boasts this view.

As you enter GrandView you will find a great room, kitchen and dining area. The living area has a large stone fireplace with gas logs and a brand new 55” HDTV. Comfortable leather furniture completes the space. The Master Bedroom is on the main level and comes with a King bed, 55” HDTV and private bathroom. Downstairs offers two bedrooms, both with King beds, TV’s and their own bathrooms. A large Den/Rec room is furnished with a large, comfortable sectional sofa (great for watching movies or relaxing after a day on the slopes), 60” Smart HDTV, fold-up bed, and a separate laundry room with a full size washer and dryer.

You’ll love GrandView because of the huge panoramic views, beautiful decorations and rustic mountain feel, 3 king beds with accommodations for 7, three large screen TVs, dual family areas, and a large open deck that is covered on one side for those desiring the shade. Our place is close to mountains, waterfalls, rivers and lakes, hiking and biking trails, golf, restaurants, horseback riding, wineries, skiing, tubing, sledding, whitewater rafting, and more. GrandView is good for couples, families (with kids), business travelers, and groups.

This is a perfect location for all the High Country has to offer. Whether you want to ski, hike or sit on the covered deck and enjoy the view, Grandview is as good as it gets! Everything is new, clean and much attention has been given to every detail.

Long Weekend with Friends

The cabin is very comfortable for 3 couples. The kitchen is well stocked. The view from the main areas is fantastic. There are many hikes in the area which was important to our group.

Beautiful place!

Very beautiful home and plenty of room for the three of us couples. View is spectacular and our trip to the Grandfather mountain winery was lots of fun. Owner is easy to contact and was very helpful.

Really enjoyed week spent at this lovely cabin. Plenty of room for family of five. Great location between Beech and Sugar Mts. Easy drive into Banner Elk for dining. Cabin is very cozy and has beautiful view!

House was gorgeous; the view itself was worth the trip. My entire family loved the house and the decor. John was super communicative and friendly. My family was here for my daughter’s graduation, which was memorable in itself, but the mountain house made it even that more memorable. Do not hesitate to book this house!

Incredible view and location

My family had a marvelous time, we drove from Charlotte and could ski on both resorts. Banner Elk and Beech Mountain resort are very close and we spent most our time there. Nonetheless we were close enough and visited Sugar Mountain, Grandfather Mountain, Boone, Sugar Creek…Lots of restaurants and fun activities near by. Wonderful vacation, quiet, secluded cabin, just as described. Would definitely return!

Relaxing stay, great location

We had a nice 9 day stay in this home. Location is great with close proximity to Beech and Banner Elk. While the home was adequate, it should be noted that there is no A/C and needs some TLC. Coffee maker is extremely slow and one of the downstairs showers leaks. We also needed more than two towels per bathroom. Beds were ok but not extremely comfortable. Kitchen needs updated pans for cooking. One of the patio chairs was broken, which we realized after trying to sit in it. With some attention this would be a great house for 3 couples. Beautiful view from the deck and safe, gated community.

Beautiful Location!

We loved our time this weekend for a family wedding at this wonderful location. Weather was a little foggy much of the visit, but when the sun broke through it was stunning. If you are prone to issues with altitude I would say you will notice it in your sinuses as we saw many indications including my headache of high altitude! But other than that I would totally recommend this beautiful home!

Unbeatable View!

Really enjoyed this house, excellent deck with an incredible view, very close to town amenities of Banner Elk. Also only 5 minutes up to Fred’s Mercantile on Beech Mountain. Comfortable furniture and king sized beds. Enjoyed the gas fireplace. Kitchen is a little short on pots and pans but has all the basics plus good appliances, and worked great for our stay. Nice private gravel road, easy to take a quick walk and enjoy the views without even leaving the house. No stairs entry with a main floor bedroom and full bath, great for elderly family. (Other 2 bedrooms downstairs. All with Mountain Views.)

Great Views - Not so great amenities

Awesome location, especially if you are looking to visit Beech Mountain. The property was freezing when we arrived - no heat had been left on in the house and it was -5 degrees outside. One of the TVs was non-functioning and while the house was organized, it wasn’t very clean when we went in. A shower curtain had fallen down which I re-hung and also had to shovel the walk and parking area myself upon arrival. Wouldn’t stay here again under almost any circumstance.

The home is more lovely than the pictures can show. And it’s decorated like someone’s home - not a generic rental. It has everything you’ll need for a peaceful stay in the mountains. And that view!!!! It’s truly amazing. We’ve stayed in another house on the street owned by the same couple and it, too, is wonderful. The kitchen is well equipped, whether you just want a quick breakfast or a full dinner feast. The layout is perfect for 2 couples - privacy for both but good common space for time together.

Second time staying at this property. We had a great time. The view is wonderful, and the cabin has a nice homey feel to it. The beautiful small town of Banner Elk boasts great restaurants and is conveniently located near Boone and Blowing Rock.

Great location, great views!

We had a great stay at this property. 3 king beds in 3 bedrooms with attached bathrooms were perfect for our family. Btw, there is another living room with TV downstairs where 2 bedrooms are, perfect for different groups to chill out in their own ways. The deck was perfect with southern view of the sky. Though I got my telescope, due to overcast skies and rain I couldn’t use it but anyone looking forward to sky watch, this would be a great place. Few issues I would like to mention to the host. We figured out how to start the gas grill but at least provide a big lighter because the start plug doesn’t work. Also, I would highly recommend a keurig with some supplies - you will impress your guests! Coffee availability in mountain areas is a must, it’s no fun to drive early in the morning! Overall, I definitely liked the property and would rent it again!!!

60th Birthday getaway

This is the second time we’ be e stayed at the Grand View and we love it. It is a little off the beaten path, but not too far from everything and the views are unbeatable. The lace is well stocked and so comfy. We love it and will be back again.

Wonderful Stay

Spotless accommodations, responsive host, and a beautiful view. We loved watching the fog roll in and out and the gorgeous sunsets over the mountains. Went skiing at both Sugar and Beech Mountain, as well as tubing. Curled up by the fire afterward, I didn’t want to leave.
