Sleepy Hollow House - walk to winery, private hot tub, pet friendly

Welcome to Sleepy Hollow Cabin!

Conveniently located in the Foscoe area, this home is 15 minutes away from Boone, Sugar Mountain, and Banner Elk. Pass through the charming one-lane covered bridge, rolling across the Watauga River. This renovated cabin is full of charm, from the tongue and groove ceilings to the pop of color in the kitchen. The living room is situated around the gas fireplace and TV. Fully relax for movies with the sofa that opens for lounging. Nearby, the dining room has beautiful wooden table with seating for everyone. From here, you may step onto the deck, or carry around to the kitchen. The kitchen is a blend of farmhouse and modern, with stainless appliances, new counters, and white beadboard. A table for two next to the large window gives the perfect spot for a cup of tea to start a chilly, mountain day. The hall wraps back around to the entryway, passing by the washer and dryer, a half bath, and the entrance to the main level queen suite. An eclectic mix of antiques and new linens bring a breath of fresh air to the room. Guests have a private full bathroom with a tub/shower combination, and the bedroom has a mounted TV over the dresser. Back at the entry, follow the stairs up to the second full bathroom in the hallway, with a bedroom to each side. To the right is a second queen bedroom with TV, great for a second couple. At the other end of the hall is a third bedroom with two twin beds, a sofa, and TV.

If fresh air is what you crave, the back deck has two levels, separated by a small set of stairs. The main deck features an outdoor table and gas grill for meals. On the lower deck is a new hot tub, ready to soak your cares away. In this private neighborhood, an evening on the deck is as quiet as you'd like it to be.

Grandfather Vineyard and Winery is a 10 minute walk along the back road, or 3 minutes by car. You'll also find fishing, antiques, art galleries, and The Dog House Cafe just down the road.

Anniversary Weekend

We enjoyed the cute house. It was dog friendly and we were able to bring our pup. The house was close to lots of fun things to do and communities to explore. Weather was wonderful so we were able to use the fire pit and hot tub.

Graduation weekend

We stayed with two dogs and five adults. The house was clean, furniture comfortable and decorations pleasant and interesting. There is not a fenced yard and is spot under the lower deck where a dog could get out off the deck if they wanted to…we blocked it with our cooler, but that is something to plan for. Also, it has a Keurig instead of the coffee pot pictured. We would stay again - great location and just far enough away from the business of Boone. My daughter and her friends enjoyed the nearby winery.
