The staff was polite and very professional and the cleaning crew were really on it. The issue was that the building is old and poorly maintained. There were so many foul odors that were being masked by plug in air fresheners of different scents in each space that it was headache inducing. The smells were really awful. There was no amount of cleaning effort that could handle the odors from years of neglect. Doors didn’t open easily, the drawers in the dresser in our room would not stay shut, and the internet was inconsistent. The room was also right by the train tracks. The train shakes the entire room when it goes by. Between our noisy neighbors above us and the trains, the potent smells, and the furniture that opened all the time, there was no hope of a peaceful stay. A small price more and we could have had a comfortable stay.
