Binghamton has parks, playgrounds and more for children. At Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park, observe hundreds of animals including leopards, tigers, wolves, pandas and snakes. If you are in Binghamton between Memorial Day and Labor Day, enjoy a free ride on an antique carousel. The six large wooden amusements are located in six parks and were a gift from a wealthy businessman in the first half of the 20th century. He insisted that civic authorities never charge for the rides.
