The check in and out procedures were excellent and clear. We actually never interacted with any staff during our stay. Everything was clean and well maintained. The location is outside downtown Seward but still only 5 minutes away. Our only issue with the lodgings was we had first floor rooms. Each unit has 1 set of windows and they are located right by the stairs to go up. We were there in June and it was warm enough to have the windows open. However, every time someone on the second floor came and went we could hear them. And the screens aren't entirely privacy screens so you can see into the units. Since there is so much sun in June, this can be an issue at night. You can choose comfort and have the windows open when sleeping, but you sacrifice privacy and darkness. Or you can have your privacy and have the windows closed with the shades drawn, but then it can get warm in the room.

We enjoyed the size of the room and convenience for accessing all the fishing spots. We would recommend to have on hand some paper towels and extra trash bags. The decor in the room was perfect, gave the place a real ‘home away from home’ feeling! We would definitely return next year! Thank you for the opportunity to stay!

We liked the surrounding area and we came for the fishing, which was great. Lot's of areas including hike-in and then fish as long as you follow the rules with the wild animals, then you are safe. We had encounters and some folks are laughing at you when they see you wearing the bells. Tell that to the black female bear with cubs... the bells were quite effective. When I was searching for a place, I looked for places with wifi because I have a teenager. The place does not have a wifi and I think that should be removed from the details because it is misleading. Reception around the cabine is not great either so take that into account. Besides that, the place is nice, including the owners.
