This is a lovely old building full of character. Dining room takes you back into English history. The rooms are spacious and bathroom are modern. Would recommend for a wedding or family event.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in a lovely, spacious and very clean room with a large wet room (I fixed the leaking shower hose at no cost to the hotel!!😃). We ate out with friends the first two nights but had Sunday lunch. We normally HATE carveries but this was very hood.The beef could have been hung for a week or so more and I’m a firm fan of Yorkshire pudding with crispy edges and a stodgy centre - more eggs in the batter please Chef!! The staff were very friendly and helpful and we look forward to our next stay at The Mount. Bill and Karen.

The property was unique & was lovely to hear it’s a family run hotel. Very clean & breakfast was excellent. Will definitely book another stay if I am back up there again.
