If you are driving around Iceland, allow about twice as long as any gps tells you to get somewhere. The views are constant and every turn is another 10 photos.
With 20 m/sec winds and sideways snow, it's best to stay near town.

Loved this rural gem
Our family loved this stay. Beautiful cabin with lots of spaces to spread out, gorgeous views. Ready access to local sites with a car. 20min to Hofn, about 1 hour to the glacier lagoon area. Hiking right there. Very relaxing, we stayed 3 nights I could have stayed longer!

Iceland is a magical place. I've never seen so many rainbows in such a short time. Single or double, every day we had a show! The glacier near Höfn is quite grandiose, but this rainbow with dark skies and great sun kinda stole the show! #Golden
