“0 star . Booked, called repeatedly, never answered, then refused a refund My flight was delayed and I knew I'd arrive after 4 AM. Starting around 11 PM the night before, I called the hotel directly at least a dozen times to give them a heads-up no answer, not once. I then called Expedia, who also tried reaching the property and got the same silence. Expedia's own system showed the front desk closes at 3 AM, meaning no one would even be there to check me in. “Super close to the entrance/gate of the Biltmore estate. Gal at the front desk when we checked in was very effficient and friendly. Check in went so quickly. The woman in charge of the breakfast area was always busy stocking breakfast items, keeping things picked up and clean. Breakfast was very good. Room very clean. Beds quite comfortable.”

“We really enjoyed having such a comfortable "base of operations" for our stay in the Flat Rock/Hendersonville area! Each time we returned to The Lodge we were greeted with "Welcome Home" by the staff at the front desk and it truly did feel like we were coming "home" each time. We would recommend it to anyone and look forward to possibly returning ourselves.”

“The view and gathering area in the lobby are really nice but the motel area feels like it's very old and falling apart. The floor on the second floor feels like it's going to cave in and there are areas where you actually feel like the floor is sinking under the old, dusty, and cigarette smoke filled carpet. The outside balcony on the 2nd floor was a nice feature, but the 1st floor balcony is open and there is a door that can access the room from outside on the ground floor. If they would invest……

“Clean, quiet, and convenient. The breakfast, however, left a bit to be desired. The pancake machine had a sign saying it was out of order. The cinnamon rolls the first day were wonderful but were informed the second and third days that “the truck” would not arrive until after we departed. The biscuits were hard as rocks. This needs some attention. Not terrible but lacking the care given to the rest of the property.”

“Loved the condition and cleanliness of this property! We were able to walk to a local restaurant and strolled aroound the beautiful James Madison University. We conveniently enjoyed breakfast at the onsite restaurant. Will stay again!”
