"Everything was as expected "

"A charming hotel that needs some TLC. Blinds broken, 1 pool closed, restaurant closed. Bar open 4 days a week, only open 9am to 6pm, though there is an after hours number to call, fairly responsive. No cleaning during your stay, and if you need towels, etc after 6 or before 9, you are out of luck. Noce room lay out, comfortable beds, generally clean though a plastic cup was left in our tub for some reason when we checked in. I would stay again, but fairly expensive for a middling hotel with a few problems. Staff that served us was excellent. "

"There was an insect casing on the bed pillow and a pubic hair on the bed sheets. I doubt the bed sheets were changed after the last guest left. Overpriced "

"The room was very small but fine for two nights. Breakfast is nice, and the staff runs the small space very efficiently. Street parking wasn't a problem. Interesting historic property, and I got a tour after check-in, including the room where Admiral Nimitz stayed and info about descendants of Ulysses S. Grant in town."
