The Bostonian is a decent, high-value hotel—a convenient location with nice rooms at a reasonable price. Not down market and not trying to be the Ritz. The physical plant is a bit tired but the staff is cheerful and helpful.

Great location and walking distance to the North End, Boston Common. across the street from Faneuil Hall and historic sites. We prepaid and parked at the Dock Square Parking Garage which worked great. The only confusing thing was where to pull in for check in at the hotel. I would highly recommend staying here.

The location is great, close to a lot of attractions, bars and restaurants. It’s also within walking distance to the north station to Salem. All hotel and restaurant staff were very personable and very helpful. We will definitely make this our place to stay when visiting Boston. Just a tip: bring your own water, there is only one water dispenser in the lobby.

When visiting a city, location can influence the experience. The Bostonian has a fantastic location. Our group walked everywhere from the hotel. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and was service oriented. Coffee is provided by the elevators in the morning. Filtered waters available near the elevators and at the ice machine on the 3rd floor.

This hotel was simply amazing. Right in the heart of downtown. Very clean, friendly staff. We were only there one night, but we will definitely stay there again when we go back to Boston. Our room had a small balcony and it was really nice to feel the fall air and hear all the sounds from the market next door.

Hotel lobby was beautiful but the hallways and rooms are in desperate need of refurbishing. The walls are marked up; the wall paper is curling; the carpet needs replacing. Not a good value for the cost of staying. Location, however, was stellar.
