Very friendly staff and very close to everything downtown.

Loved staying at Hotel Z. The room was small, but very functional and had everything we needed. The staff was great. And the location was ideal for getting around in the local area. There is no hotel parking, but several lots nearby, so that wasn’t a problem. It is a charming place, and we will definitely stay there again.

I've stayed at the Del several times, Beach House, the Views and now Shore House. People above us were partying hard. I'm not one to call in a noisy complaint, but the racket kept us up til 1am, even with 2 calls to the front desk. They comped us 2 days valet. Should have comped us the night IMHO.

We had an amazing stay at the Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla over the Fourth of July weekend! From the moment we arrived, the customer service was exceptional. The entire facility was beautiful, spotless, and very well maintained. Our room was clean, comfortable, and exceeded our expectations. We had dinner at A.R. Valentien, where our waiter, Ryan, and the entire staff were attentive, welcoming, and provided outstanding service. The food was absolutely delicious, light, fresh, and beautifully prepared. We also enjoyed breakfast at The Grill. My 9-year-old son absolutely loved the pancakes, while my husband and I both ordered omelets that were incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. Every meal we had was excellent. One of our favorite parts of the stay was relaxing by the pool and enjoying the gorgeous views. The hotel also made the Fourth of July extra special for families by hosting a fun celebration with crafts, cookies and lemonade, cookie decorating, and kites for the kids to fly. Our son had the best time, and we loved the warm, family friendly atmosphere. The valet staff were also wonderful, friendly, helpful, and always greeted us with a smile. This was truly a memorable stay, and we can’t wait to return next year. If you’re looking for a beautiful hotel with exceptional service, delicious dining, and a welcoming family atmosphere, we highly recommend staying here!

Property location is great. One mile easy walk to beach. We walked there every day. Also directly across street from Del Mar fairground. Hotel itself is fine! Needs a little updating - our room was spacious. Suite was perfect size for family with kids. TVs are old school- no smart TVs. Paper guides for local channels. And our phone in our room didn’t work at all to call front desk etc. also there is only one elevator on each side. Not a small hotel so our walk with all our stuff from our car to the elevator and back to our room was LONG. Was completely miserable with two kids when we got in late. If you don’t want to lug your stuff FAR I would suggest asking for a first floor room or room near elevator
