Drove almost 4 hours to property for a one night stay and had a horrible experience. Before i picked a resort to stay at i called directly to make sure there what was open during the covid times. I was told everything would be open besides the waterslide. I asked if there are any special requirements and i was told no. Arrived 4 hours early. Asked if i could maybe check in early ( i would pay) told me room would probably be ready within an hour. Said they would call me. never did. wasnt a big deal but kinda ticked me a little. I had only 1 night to stay and made sure to pick a resort with a pool because that us all i planned on doing for the evening. We got all ready for the pool and went down to have a relaxing night. Guard at pool stopped us and said have to have a reservation for the pool because of max capacity thing (told me 75 was max and their was literally 4 people around then huge indoor and outdoor pool). told to talk to front desk. Told front desk my situtation and i was only staying for one night. Told them i called before i booked to make sure requirements. Asked him why did i pay almost 200 bucks for one night to be stuck in a hotel without being able to use the pool that was in the price. offered me a discount, i did not take it. Best part is our room was looking over the pool and the entire night of slotted 2 hours pool reservations. There was maybe no more then 10 or 15 people at a time. Never staying at welks property again.
