“The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.”

“Excellent accommodation with an exceptional view. Immediately after booking, Colin, the owner emailed with all the information we needed to make our stay on Skye fabulous. We were greeted on arrival. The pod was meticulously clean and really lovely! Bathroom with shower, microwave, milk in the fridge, tea bags, coffee and sugar. Clean bedding, towels, tea towel, dish cloth, washing up liquid. Crockery in the cupboards. The decking had a table and two chairs and looked over the most spectacular……

“Food was AMAZING. Staff was awesome. Only two negatives. First, the parking is barely enough for the guests. You sometimes have to fight for a spot because people will come to the restaurant to just eat. Lastly, the floors are hardwoods. If you are on the first floor, you will absolutely hear every step above you. We had to engage the desk clerk when the people above us moved furniture over a 3 hr period. I assume it was kids pushing the chairs. Staff and food was perfect though. ”

“Our hosts were very friendly and offered advise regarding Storm Amy's approach, where we could see the stags locally (which we did!) and regarding returning via Bealach na Ba which we did in dense cloud on the way in. We took the coast road back as the weather was worsening and the view non existent! Our room was very comfortable and cosy with underfloor heating in the bathroom. The honesty bar was great for stopping in the room (wine, beer, soft drinks, various snacks) - we came away with some……
