This property is a self catering 2 bedroom chalet at Penstowe Holiday Park in the village of Kilkhampton (EX23) - 5 miles from Bude in North Cornwall. Chalet is in grounds of a Manor House in several acres of woods NO SMOKING IN CHALET

Sleeps 4

King size Bed in main room and Second bedroom with bunk beds. Both have wardrobes and drawers. You will need to bring your own Bed Linen. We will only provide Duvet's and Pillows for both bedrooms with mattress protectors. We can also provide travel cot.

Newly fitted large Shower with small washbasin toilet and heated towel rail

New fully fitted kitchen area including microwave and freestanding cooker, fridge freezer and washing machine.


Living room has Tv with Wi-Fi adapter

The Chalet also consists of Electric heaters, Ironing Board, Iron. All Electric is paid by Ā£1 & Ā£2 coins which is situated in the Kitchen.
Alsoā€¦.. The Stowe (in the main Manor House Now offering full drinks menu, 2 full size Snooker table, Pool tables, Darts.
Plenty of attractions nearby, The Big Sheep, The Milk Way, 45 minutes to Port Isaac, Padstow, Boscastle.

Bude sea pool at Summerleaze Beach Bude just 5 miles from Kilkhampton.

Lovely clean chalet, really enjoyed our stay. Lots of gorgeous beaches near by.

Highly recommended this chalet, lovely and clean. Really nice holiday park with swimming pool and lots of nearby beaches.

Great base for North Cornwall

We have just spent 5 nights in Penstowe and really enjoyed it. The chalet is great with a modern kitchen and bathroom and was spotless. It was a really great base for exploring Cornwall.

A lovely lodge and well presented, ideal for our family stay. The lodge had everything we needed for our holiday and a nice homely feel. Will definitely be booking again.

Quiet getaway

This was a nice little getaway spot set in a peaceful location. The property had all you need and was within close proximity to Bude and was a good base to explore the area.

Lovely chalet in a quiet and peacefull area, loved the location . The chalet was perfect and had an amazing shower. Would love to come again. Very clean and everything you need to make your time away stress free. Easy access to dog friendly beaches too.

Great location for activities

We had a wonderful stay at this location. The place is well equipped with a nice kitchen and 2 bed rooms. Just be mindful there are no facilities in the park and be prepared that you need coins for the electricity. The owner is very helpful and communicative before we arrived.

Fantastic stay

easy to find penstow park, chatel took a few mins to find but very clean and tidy good location 6 min drive to bude 12mins to widemouth beach, chalet better that it looked in the photos, wifi works ok not the fastest

Perfect for what we wanted, down for the weekend surfing, good price and all the amenities we needed, safe and good parking too, will use again if available, just make sure you have enough Ā£1/Ā£2 coins for meter Ā£10 served us the weekend.

Kilkhampton Chalet

Small beach style chalet that we used for a week. Clean and in a good state of upkeep it is in a good location to explore both North Cornwall and North Devon. Very good communication with the host and a smooth check in and out process. The chalet comes with passes for the swimming pool / leisure centre on site (should it not be beach weather) plus there is a bar you can utilise with regular entertainment. Overall a great stay and would recommend.

Superschoon!

Dit huisje ligt op een park waar veel huisjes kriskras geplaatst zijn. Ons huisje lag verscholen tussen bossages en we konden het in eerste instantie dan ook niet vinden. De locatie en het klimaat zorgden er misschien voor dat het bij eerste binnenkomst wat muf rook. Maar het was verder helemaal spic&span! Het beddengoed rook heerlijk naar wasmiddel en ook de badkamer en keuken waren heel schoon. Het huisje is goed uitgerust, veel keukengerei en ook veel poetsmiddelen ;). Heerlijke bank! Het enige wat wat ons betreft beter kan is fijn meubilair om buiten te zitten. Het park heeft heel verschillende huisjes, sommigen oud, anderen heel mooi opgeknapt. Er is een restaurant in een oude mansion, waar ook gewerkt werd aan verfraaiing. Ook is er een zwembad (binnen). Dat was het wat ons betreft nƩt niet; niet zo'n fris water en ;je mocht er niet rennen, duiken of balspelen doen.

Lovely chalet.

Lovely chalet, very clean and cosy. Annette was very welcoming and even offered to post a our phone charger we left behind to us. Kids enjoyed the games. Unfortunately there is no DVD player to play the dvds. And couldn't figure out how the WiFi worked. Other than that it had everything we needed for a lovely week. I would definitely stay here again. The site is under new management and are making lots of improvements the pool is great and king Arthur's had plenty of evening entertainment, great staff and lots to do for the kids including kids games, arcade and a party bus.

Lovely quiet location.

Stayed in the chalet with a family of 4.Lovely accommodation, very quiet and very well equipped.Indoor swimming pool on site with an unlimited entrance daily.Outdoor pool wasn't open at a time.A few miles away from a couple of gorgeous beaches.Very good communication with the host throughout our stay.Highly recommended!

Could be better.

The location was good as it is near to Bude. The site itself was empty for August - it is all a bit dated. Chalet had not been thoroughly cleaned. Skirting boards were thick with dirt, carpet needed a thorough hoover, mattress topper looked like it had the outline of a previous occupant, damp cleaning cloths left on the kitchen side. Generally a bit grubby. The total cost for my August week was about Ā£590 (including the ā€˜servicing chargeā€™) so I was willing to accept the beds werenā€™t great and the furniture in the lounge was old but I do expect a high level of cleanliness. There are no sheets or duvets covers - so this needs to be made clearer on the description as I only discovered this a few days before going. Swimming pool was listed on facilities but in fact, our chalet did NOT have access and you canā€™t pay to use it. I contacted owner who said swimming pool should not be on ā€˜facilitiesā€™. As for cleaning she said her friend on site does it. I have suggested a professional cleaner if renting to the public. All in all - good value but the cleaning issue and the lack of pool was disappointing. The chalet has potential - details need to be clearer, proper cleaning done and some newer furniture in lounge.
