“Stayed at the lodge and surprisingly roomy. Bright and well laid out accommodation. Good en suite and great views from the windows. All round, very comfortable and would definitely stay here again.”

“mud stains on the carpet upon arrival, cannot fill kettle from the sink, had to use glass to fill kettle, otherwise lovely stay, nice and quiet”

“Nice room, clean and comfortable, very creaky floors but you expect that in an old building. Staff were friendly and helpful. We only stayed 3 nights and opted for the non cleaning option and didn't eat in as my mother lives locally so can't comment on anything else but will definately be back.”

“Was okay wanted some extra pillow and they got them delivered the same day which is good. Only issue I had was the photo of the bathroom shown on Expedia was actually one of the shared ones and the en suit was completely different. Thogun it has a lovely heated mirror with blue tooth. Just swipe your hand next too it and it comes on. ”

“Hotel is dated but has a charm about it. Room was clean and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet excellent and evening meal offer was very good and reasonable price. Worth a short break here.”

“The hotel is a grand old lady, with hard working staff. All hotel area's clean, Staff went out of their way to help guests enjoy their stay, even the Chef went the extra mile for us. Friendliest hotel Iv stayed in for ages, bar man put quizzes on the bar TV for guests in the evening, No one was a stranger. Rooms had heating, that you could adjust yourself. Shower was a bit dodgy, but worked. ……

“The room was spotless and friendly staff on check-in. Only issue we had was the shower - temperature either cold or scalding hot - may be a thermostat issue although I’m not a plumber.”
