The positives: beautiful property, large rooms with balconies, lots of pools, easy beach access, fun animal encounters, swim up aquarium, and easy to access waterpark. The negatives: the food is terrible and wildly expensive - in 5 days, we only had 2 meals we somewhat enjoyed & every meal was over $200 for two of us, we liked the sushi & the Chinese food — there was no local fare, the food trucks on the beach were terrible & super overpriced, there are only 3 hot tubs which were full of kids, the clientele and behavior gets wild over the weekend, and I truly question the cleanliness of the property as I came home with a fungal rash above my bikini line that took over a month to clear up! I spent a month applying a mix of prescription hydrocortisone, anti-fungal cream & Desitin to finally clear it up. I would reco going to Aruba or Turks & Caicos as you’ll be able to find local fare for much better prices.

Beautiful place and great staff but sand fleas are terrible.

We had a wonderful stay at The Cove. The resort is beautiful and elegant, and the service throughout the property was excellent. We especially enjoyed Fish by José Andrés and Paranza, where the food and service were outstanding. The beach was beautiful, with crystal-clear water and soft sand. Our only disappointment was the beach service for drinks and refreshments, which was very limited and sometimes almost nonexistent. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we would definitely return!
