“Beautiful views from the property, room and patio. Pigs, goats, sheep and dogs too. Very hospitable host - we asked for rabbit for dinner and she located a rabbit and cooked it for us! Overall, a very satisfying stay.”

“After a week in Tropea we needed a change of peace and we couldn't have picked a better location than "Al Grande Gelso". Even before our arrival our host Genesio helped us to receive a package from Sweden and greeted us upon arrival in a welcoming manner. A nice spotless and air-conditioned room with presteen linnen bedding gave us comfortable night. Next morning we were greeted again by Genesio but also his sister Rosetta. “Fantastic view over the sea. Nice pool an spaceous room. The restaurant was closed, which we only discovered at arrival. Had to drive every night to town for dinner. The outside area needs maintenance and cleaning”

Kamer erg basis. 3 dagen achter elkaar .oeten vragen om toiletpapier geen glazen op de kamer om een glas wijn te drinken. Ontbijt was prima voor Italiaanse nirmen We hadden niet het idee dat we te maken hadden met de eigenaar. De bevlogenheid ontbrak. Er werd zeer slecht Engels gesproken. Er is niets op loopafstand van de b&b”

“The place is amazing. It is well located by car. Central to much of this part of Calabria. It is family run and they do EVERYTHING to make the stay comfortable. Air-conditioning and heat are available as needed. This is a functioning farm that is very tidy. Loved every aspect. Hope to revisit soon.”
