Staff were amazing!

Posted Feb 8, 2016
Pros: Staff went out of their way to help.
Cons: New carpet on stairs
Stayed for 4 nights. Staff were very attentive. Stairs were dirty, had the same mess on them after day 4. Rooms were adequate but whole place looked tired. Great value, close cab ride to saddledome.

The room is nice and clean. Brakefest is excellent. Location is just 10 mins walk to lrt. 3 stops away from the Calgary city centre. Even you checked out, your car can park there for extra hours without extra pay. The rate is very reasonable with the room and services provided. I highly recommend this hotel if you travel to Calgary.

Good location for a medical stay

Posted Dec 1, 2015
I was in town for a medical trip, so being close to the hospital was great. We had a King room - the bed was very comfortable and you are given an option of soft or hard pillows. We were right next to the elevator, so obviously lots of noise. The walls almost seemed paper thin, woke up several times during the night from people walking down the hallway and could hear noise above and all around us. Could even hear people getting out of their vehicles in the parking lot and suitcases rolling on the way in! I'm a pretty deep sleeper so these things usually don't bother me, and I've stayed in many hotels but this was by far the worst for noise. There is a continental breakfast, nothing special about it but did the trick. Also, they slip the receipts under the door during the night which I do not like. I had asked to pay on a different card in the morning but they still charged it to the card I checked in with.

In town for 5 nights to attend a family wedding ~

Posted Nov 13, 2015
Pros: Breakfast!
Cons: Seen at least 3 instances of drug use in the back parking lot ~
All in all we enjoyed our stay ~ 8 lanes of traffic out front and we never heard a thing from either inside nor outside ~ We walked 1.7 km each way to the nearest mall and totally were impressed with the shopping there ~ We attended a family wedding + reception and we were quite close to the venue and could drive. Took a drive on our last day and enjoyed the beautiful mountainous scenery.

breakfast blahs

Posted Nov 6, 2015
Cons: Breakfast time and content. They need to update their hot water system.
Location: Everything in Calgary is a lot further than it seems on a map.
We stayed from Sat. Oct. 31st to Wedn. Nov. 4th. Hot breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs and sausages EVERY day. No bacon or even additions to scrambled eggs. No cheese. No variety in bagels. Only red delicious apples for fresh fruit. Also, it only opened at 6:30 a.m.. Not good for people with early morning flights. The other thing that really bothered us was how long it took to get hot water in our bathroom!! 20 MINUTES. The ironic thing about this is that there was a sign in the bathroom asking us to reuse our towels to save on water for laundry!!!! It was very wasteful.
