“I booked the suite 4 months in advanced. When I checked in, I asked the worker that she’s giving us the one bedroom suite and she looked confused, but stated yes. When I went into the room, it was a regular two queen bed. I went back down and complained since I paid for suite and for her to give me what I paid for. Initially, she wasn’t going to give me the suite. I showed her my receipt and demanded I get the room that I paid for. She said luckily we have one suite available. Poor customer……

“Room was okay except for moldy shower. Found 3 ticks in the bathroom. Smoking area is right at the entrance. The ashtray was completely rusted through and butts went down into trash can. Seemed to be clean.”

“The owners are outstanding with their hospitality and helping you find things. The lobby was decorated very nice, the continental breakfast was good, coffee was delicious. It was unbelievably quiet considering that they were full Friday and Saturday. It is a hotel I would return to. Another plus are the two restaurants on either side that are really good!!! Old Main Eatery in Elk River is a short drive and really good food.”

“My book club (all 50) rented Grandpa's Pool House and had a ball. We did all things 70s and the house was a great fit for our tator tot hotdish meals, shrinky dink crafts and Sloe Gin Fizz drinks. We had a couple hiccups with our stay, and the host and property manager responded immediately and made everything right. ”

Throughout the entire process, the communication I had with the owner was impressive with very kind and quick responses. The cabin itself has everything you need! The kitchen is even fully stocked!
