“Nice clean simple motel”

“Nice, welcoming, cozy and clean. It’s been well maintained. Only complaint is I wasn’t told of the $30 pet fee at booking. My kids loved the pool. Spa had been shut down and we were not told of that ahead of time either but they had it up and going again while we were there. Because of the pet fee, I felt it was overpriced for what we got. I would recommend staying here but be aware of the above items so you can be prepared.”

“Coffee was good. Breakfast left a lot to be desired, even by Continental breakfast standards. Breakfast was served between 6 & 9am. We came down at 8am, and there was one ziplock package of bread for toast, no muffins or Danish. There was corn flakes and Froot Loops, but really no other options. There was no one at the desk to ask for more bread for toast. Needless to say, we went to Kwik Trip down the road and got a couple of Cinnamon rolls for today's breakfast. “My book club (all 50) rented Grandpa's Pool House and had a ball. We did all things 70s and the house was a great fit for our tator tot hotdish meals, shrinky dink crafts and Sloe Gin Fizz drinks. We had a couple hiccups with our stay, and the host and property manager responded immediately and made everything right. ”

“Sanctuary at Rum River was perfect for our large family get-together. All of the house was clean. Beds were very comfortable (even the bunk beds) bathrooms were well appointed. Kitchen was GREAT...nice to have everything labeled on the cabinets, and have plenty of dishware, glasses, coffee cups, and silverware. Good assortment of cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc. Awesome to have the washer and dryer available. Theatre room in the basement was a great bonus. As well as having the garage……

“This was our second time staying here, and we had a great stay once again! The property was clean, had a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds- everything I remembered from our first visit. The hosts were welcoming & friendly, and they responded quickly when I had a question. I appreciate their dedication to keeping their property fragrance free- this is rare to find when it comes to vacation rental properties!
