Car Rental Geneva Old Town

• Make tracks to Basel for an excellent sightseeing adventure. Around 120 miles from Geneva Old Town, it's home to numerous cool attractions such as Basel Zoo.
• Situated 30 miles away, Lausanne is also a favorite with wanderers. Set aside time to experience Olympic Museum while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love visiting this vibrant city.
• Get out into the great outdoors and breathe in some fresh air at Rhine Falls. It's approximately 150 miles from Geneva Old Town.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Switzerland, then you'll likely need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be allowed to rent a car. You should also be aware that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll have to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of documentation as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some added requirements for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You'll need to be 25 or over in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles you can rent.
