"Property was a little run down and it was on the outskirts of town, away from all the stuff you would probably want to see and do. Check in was easy. It does have self-service laundry facilities for a fee (about 5 euros each for washing a drying a load of laundry). Bed in room was reasonably comfortable. We travelled with our kids, who used the pull-out bed from the sofa and said it was not comfortable."

"If you arrive or come back to the hotel in the midnight, you should let the receptionist know. Otherwise, they will lock the door, I guess for safety reasons, until they open at 5:30 am. You can actually open the door by tapping your room card but it does not work sometimes especially when you put your card with your phone in your pocket so try not to put it in your pocket. It won’t also work when opening your room door. But all in all, it’s a decent hotel. Employees are very nice!! :) "

"The property is surrounded by trees and one of its buildings has a view - though mostly covered by the trees - to the lake. It should be conducive to a pleasant and peaceful stay but wasn't. In my last week at this property, I was moved to a studio apartment that was literally falling apart - I have pictures. " If you are visiting Geneva, but would like to stay in the outskirts, this is def the place to go! It is an hour away on the bus. There is the local tpg bus system that runs everyday. "We planned to spend about 36 hours in Geneva in a gap between two halves of our European vacation. Since our departure from the Geneva airport was going to be a very early one, we opted for a hotel near the airport. The Crowne Plaza was a nearly perfect choice. It is a short, free shuttle ride from the airport itself, and a 10-minute stroll through a pleasant residential neighborhood gets you to an easy-to-use tram to the Geneva lakefront. We had assumed we would have to take the less frequent and more expensive train from the airport to the main Geneva train station and hoof it from there, but that was completely unnecessary. Our room was spacious and well-appointed -- certainly no complaints on that front -- and the reception staff was friendly and efficient. It never occurred to me in booking that an airport hotel would prove such a convenient launching pad for visiting Geneva, but the Crowne Plaza definitely did. The one thing that we had hoped was that we would be able to walk from the airport to the hotel, but the highways around the airport make that impossible -- the shuttle is a must. Happily, it ran frequently and efficiently. "
