Lovely hotel, modern, great staff and facilities. Breakfast was lovely, everywhere super clean. Decent gym and pool. The rooms were perfectly nice but the bathrooms could do with a bit of modernising (maybe a retile to walls and floors?). Also great little kids area. Would thoroughly recommend (especially compared to the price and standard of a well known hotel in the city centre that some family members were staying at...)
This was our 5th time staying here, the new play area is just fantastic. As always the staff are so helpful, the gym/pool is great and it's generally a great place to stay with a young family.
A warm welcome, and a good location, close to the main railway station, but also close to the Harbour.
The breakfast was good, the staff on the front desk and in the restaurant were incredibly helpful and the leisure facilities were all working well. Last but not least, the soft play area is a great amenity for families with toddlers. Definitely recommend. Thank you.

Breakfast was good, lots on offer for my coeliac son, and the man working in the bar and on breakfast was lovely and helpful with a lovely big smile. The room was ok but carpets are in need of updating and the bathroom door didn't shut at all. Was ok for me as was there with my children but would've been a real issue otherwise.
We were put into an accessible room, which was not required. no sockets by the bed, only at the opposite end of the room.
Other than that, it was lovely, with great facilities.
The family room was good, although the sofa bed is a little narrow for two teenagers. We had two nights in another budget chain prior to arriving at the Novotel, where they provide two single fold-up beds which we found to be a much better arrangement amd more comfortable for the children.
The room was clean. The pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna are excellent and were very welcome.
The food in the restaurant was good, only the service being a little slow let it down.
We thought the hotel parking at £24 for the day was expensive, until looking at the local multi-story alternatives that were £31 a day?! There are a few spaces on the road outside that are free between 18:00-08:00 that you can take advantage of.
We would definitely stay there again.
Its a bit 15 to 20 minutes walk tk city Center and the Cardiff Bay. But locations was quiet and clean. Staff was great except the one bartender named Sayad. Very grumpy and rude to customers.
Great full English breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Had parking on site and right in the centre of the city centre. Amenities were great with pool and even a small play area for kids with slid. Would highly recommend.
Enjoyed our stay. Nice hotel, lovely friendly staff. Room size was good and beds were comfortable. The spa was lovely, clean and not busy. My only comment was that the room was quite warm and the climate system just didn't manage to cool it down.
We had a fantastic stay at novatel cardiff bay. Staff were friendly, hotel was clean, amenities were fab, and the breakfast amazing!
We will definitely be staying again soon, and highly recommended.
We stayed at this hotel for 4nights with the family, the spa and swimming was very good for the children. I would say the rooms weren't 100% clean, we wouldn't get fresh mugs everyday te same mugs would be wiped down and placed back. They were cleaned in the bathroom sinks, my childrens toilet door handle broke then she got stuck in the toilet. I complained to reception and they said they would send maintenance, nobody came 😒, overall we weren't happy with the hotel but the kids loved spa and swimming.
