"I really enjoyed staying in the Carbonara neighborhood away from the old city/port/downtown tourist crush (although they were easy to reach by bus or even a longish walk). Just settling into the piazza, streets, cafes, and local shops, and folks who live there was perfect for me. It was like being in a small town but still part of the city. Roberto and Sara were lovely hosts. There were extensive details to help with the stay and Roberto was always available and responded promptly to questions."

"We stayed here in the end of July. It is a spacious apartment that is near the old Bari area. Check in was a bit odd, as our host's friends let us in and gave us the keys without even stepping foot into the apartment (no checking passports or ID or anything). They had been doing some work in the apartment so there was a strong smell of superglue / adhesive in one of the rooms. There was also large water stains on the wall of the main room that had been painted over. It was hot (85F) that week...

"The property was in a great location and fairly roomy. We were frustrated when we advised the host that we would be arriving at 2:45pm and got a text back saying they would be there in 20minutes. We waited on the street with all of our luggage for 30 minutes only to have the host arrive, take us to the apartment and realize it hadn't been cleaned. We were asked to leave our luggage at the apartment for a couple of hours so it could be cleaned. We were tired from travelling but had no choice....

"Disappointing Cons- musty mildewy smell throughout the apt. There’s a dehumidifier in the apt and it helps some, but we had to empty it at least once a day. We stayed for 9 days and only received 2 bath towels. The couch has stains on it- (I suggest a new couch or at least a couch cover). The shower tile looks as if it’s not been cleaned. In desperate need of bleaching. Pros- it’s in a great location and walking distance to everything. "
