Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Riu in NYC. The room was very clean however a bit too small for 4 people. Upon check-in we received 2 bottles of complementary water in the room, when requested for 2 additional, 1 per person, the gentleman’s response was go to the restaurant to purchase additional water or use the faucet in the bathroom.
Another major concern is the elevator system during breakfast hours. Apparently the process to access the restaurant is via the elevators therefore causing an extreme long delays. We had to eventually walk down 12 stories after waiting 15mins for an elevator.
Other than that, location is great and I may consider staying here on another trip to NYC.
