“Unfortunately I cannot post photos of the property but where to begin. When we arrived we were greeted with full bins and rubbish on the floor which we were told to pick up. The outside furniture is in a horrible state that I wouldn’t even let the kids sit on with the rust. The oven was in a disgusting state and the fridge door was broken. The state of the cottage was like nothing I’ve seen before. Which is very surprising considering that when you book this property you are then told that the……

“A truly wonderful find! Quiet, convenient, clean well appointed cottage, with attentive, friendly hosts. Good parking, near enough (by car) to the Mourne Mountains, Murlough, Tyrella and Ballykinler beaches and Newcastle. About a 45 min drive from Belfast. A great haven for peaceful outdoor pursuits or just getting away from it all. Will happily stay again! ”

“Sarah and Allen were amazing hosts! We just wanted to take a moment to thank them for sharing their beautiful cottage with us. From the moment we arrived, it truly felt like a home away from home — warm, welcoming, and filled with such authentic Irish charm.Their lovely St. Patrick's Cottage made our time in Downpatrick especially meaningful, giving us the perfect place to slow down, relax, and simply enjoy being together as a family. Spending precious time with our daughter and grandchildren in……

“The cottage was delightful! It isn’t a shared space, so the whole place was ours - so nice! I highly recommend this quaint town. It has cute shops and wonderful pubs in easy walking distance. The host was super helpful with anything we needed and the cottage is spotless. The parking was tight, but there are lots nearby if you aren’t comfortable with the curb parking. For future travelers from the arid American West, Europeans don’t use a top sheet and regulate their inner temperatures different……
