Whether you are looking for a weekend away with friends or family time this ranch style lake cabin just over an hour from Sioux Falls is perfect. There is a open floor plan kitchen and living room with incredible lake views. This property has 75 ft of sandy beach and is only knee deep for a 100 ft off shore perfect for all of the water games. Have your morning coffee under the large covered porch while watching the pelicans catch their breakfast. Relax in the claw foot tub while enjoying a view of the lake. At night grill some dinner on the propane or charcoal grill and then enjoy a bonfire in the fire pit under the stars.
If you are a pheasant hunter or fisher this is the perfect spot for you with amazing fishing in the summer and ice fishing in the winter. There are 4 public hunting reserves within 15 miles for pheasant hunting.

The only thing that could have made it any better would be the addition of a hot tub on the wonderful back deck over looking the lake. Thanks for letting us stay.

Family vacation
Outside in pretty rough shape. Cleaned up the beach for about an hour before allowing the kids on it. The inside was clean and orderly. There was a paddle boat on the beach basically unusable. It was filthy and filled with very dirty, stinky water. The place definitely needs some TLC! We enjoyed our family time and made the best of our stay.

Great vacation!
We rented two properties for a family vacation and this was one of them. The owner quickly responded to any questions and was very helpful! Only con was the beach as it was pretty rocky for kids to play but they enjoyed swimming out pretty far since it was so shallow.

Thank you, we had a great stay! I should tell you that you should check the back bedroom for fleas or bedbugs, or something. All three of my kids on all three mattresses in that room had to relocate and join us for last two nights of the stay. They were all three itchy and one had strange bites (not mosquito). The one bed in the small room and master bed were fine, not itchy. We saw jumping bugs in that hall bathroom (assume fleas) but not sure because we don’t have dogs.

Relaxing get away
My family and I had a wonderful time at the house. Here is what we thought was worth mentioning. Pros: -Amazing communication! -Wonderful beach and dock. -Water was amazing with plenty of room to play in it -Fishing off the dock was pretty good in the morning/evening. -House was very comfortable and relaxing. Cons: - Kitchen could use more cookware. (8x8, 9x13 pants, stuff like that). - Oven is dated. It is gas and some were nervous using it especially when one of the burners didn't seem to be working. Had significant stains on the top of it. - There is a camera facing front and back. Something to be aware of if you are sensitive to that. Owners were amazing with communication. AC wasn't working when we got there. They came over right away and luckily it was an easy fix. Would also be nice if there was a boat or kayaks available. The cons were very small in our opinions and we would absolutely stay here again!

Lake Poinsett Ice Fishing visit
Property was easy to get to, and as described. We were unable to access the lake from the property due to the amount of snow on the dock that lead to lake, but we were able to drive about a mile to a local boat access point. Overall a nice experience.

Great Family Get-Away
The property is located on the waters edge which makes for awesome views. We enjoyed sitting on the deck both morning and night and enjoying the water. Alsville Gas Station/Store is located less than 5 miles away in case you need groceries or bait. We did not swim so I can't speak to the swim area in front of the property. The property was clean and all appliances worked!

What a Great Place to Stay!
Had so much fun with grandkids and family! Place was awesome. Very clean and well stocked. We spent most of our time on the large back deck enjoying the retractable awning when the sun got too hot. Hated to leave but must work! Thanks Keeley for a great time and sharing your house with us!

The place was very nice! Updated and very clean. The owners were very helpful with a couple questions we had. Lots of amenities for families. It was a really great place to stay. It would have been perfect if it had a dock for our boat but that was our fault we didn’t confirm that. Overall I would highly recommend!

Perfect property!
Eight of my lifelong girlfriends and I get together once a year for a long, relaxing, laughter induced weekend. This place was super clean, convenient and had everything we needed- including comfortable beds, crockpot, coffee pot and lots of room to hang out. We had great weather and enjoyed coffee on the deck and floating in the lake. Keeley was great communicating with about arrival and departure items. I messaged her once about where to have a fire and she responded timely. We have stayed at many rentals over the 20+ years and this is one of the very best. Our group is looking forward to next year at this property!
