“The lodge is very well equipped with lots of little extras like cooking oil, games, DVDs etc. The beds are very comfy and sleeps 5 people really well. The site is very quiet and has a kids play area. Easy to walk to East Soar and then to the coast path or to Overbeck Gardens & down to South Sands to catch the ferry to Salcombe. ”

“We were a bit nervous having read some poor reviews for Whitsand Bay Fort but this unit is privately owned and was perfect for us as a family of 4. Everything we needed was provided. If you're looking for lots of beach time, the closest beach is Treganhawke which is absolutely beautiful and there are life guards on duty however the climb is really steep so be prepared 😀”

“The accommodation is nice enough, but not amazing. It’s not the most modern or new decor. The furniture is very large for the space and all the cupboards and drawers could use a declutter. Very busy feeling inside. We visited in covid times, so there were no facilities at the site - the cafe was never open. The location didn’t suit our family. It’s too far to walk in/out of salcombe with kids, which meant we had to drive. Parking in salcombe isn’t easy to find and is ‘pay and display’ so we were……
