I was extremely excited to return to this property as I have been coming here since I was a child. The last time I stayed, prior to this trip, was 2015. I could not be more shocked by what I found.
To begin with, there is no on site restaurant as stated on the website. There used to be a fantastic restaurant serving all three meals. Now there is a bar, gambling machines, and a pool table. When I asked the bar tender (the most helpful and kind staff member we encountered by FAR during our stay) she shared with us the restaurant was closed. The website only mentions "there will be a limited number of first floor rooms available to reserve due to property renovations".
Next, I attempted numerous times to connect to the WiFi. The front desk attendant working at the time, approximately 3:00-4:00 on Wednesday,7/7/2021, could not have been less helpful. I was told that the general manager, Stephanie Stevenson, was in a corporate meeting and "under no circumstances could she be disturbed per Ramada Corporate policy". When I emailed Ms. Stevenson, she replied promptly, however she stated that "I know sometimes different devices will not connect to it (i.e. WiFi). We have no idea why this is but we have been working hard to find out. However we do offer a computer up front".
Finally, guests were being allowed to have children swimming in the pool in their underwear until I brought it to the lifeguards attention. These were incredibly disappointing accommodations to say the least.
