I was a priority passenger, and not realizing I was able to have a free carry on suit case I could store in the over hang, I ended up checking two bags when I didn’t have to. It wasn’t until the American Air rep came over and assisted with finishing up the check in process that she pointed out we didn’t have to pay the extra money because we could have it carried on due to our priority status. This wasn’t until after the fact we had paid. I asked her if there was a way for us to get a refund then since we didn’t have to pay for the extra checked baggage and she replied “I can’t do that right now”. I followed her response asking if there was another way for us to go about getting the refund. Her reply “I’m not sure...” and she just walked away. Overall our whole trip was not bad, the flight attendants were lovely and our flights were smooth and on time, I just would have appreciated better service from a rep rather than when she didn’t know the answer walking away and leaving us confused and frustrated.
