Delightful 6-bedroom cottage on charming Lake Carlos in Alexandria, MN

"Our multi generational family had an excellent time. Plenty of bedrooms and seating areas. Host was super responsive and helpful. Wonderful location. All bedrooms on the main floor. Only steps were to get in to the house but had hand rails so older folks could manage just fine. Would stay again."

"It was a great get-away for our family. Megan was a great host getting back to me whenever I had a question. The weather was great and we got a lot of sunshine. Just our last day it was a bit windy. The sunsets were awesome. The house was very clean with comfortable beds and we were so happy to have two bathrooms. We missed having a wood fire and making smores. There were plenty of yard games available. We played games in the large yard. Negatives:The water level was low and was not pleased with the grass growing in the shallow water. The grass was tangling in the boat motor. The fan helped somewhat. We did not like the plastic plates, bowls and cups. We prefer glass."

"This is a very nice location on the mountain. We came in the summer and they were some very nice fishing places to go to which my husband very much enjoyed. We of course to catch and release it was close enough to multiple restaurants to go to for dinner and I think would be lots of fun to stay there during the ski season."

"Room was neat and clean and not cramped. Beds were really comfortable for me. All of the lights, fridge, coffee maker, and microwave worked and were clean. I only talked to one of the staff but she was friendly and helpful. No frills, but a good value for a comfortable place to sleep."

"The property was exactly as listed. Lots of beds and baths,-with plenty of linens. The main area has A/C but the bedrooms were not all air-conditioned, but with so many fans we never noticed. Easy check in and out. Our host was VERY responsive to all of our questions. Plenty of "break out" areas for everyone. This was a family (3 generations) long weekend. Preschoolers to pre-teens with space for a thesis writing mom, play room for the littles and large yard to play frisbee and catch. Plus the swimming, boating and fishing. A great kitchen with a 8 burner stove, fridge, dishwasher and more dishes than we could use! We will definitely be back next summer."

"The cabin was very clean and very well stocked with all the necessities that we needed. It was a great place, we had a wonderful time!!The only downfall was the amount of seaweed all around the dock so fishing from the dock wasn’t an option and the kids weren’t able to swim right off the dock, but we paddled out into the middle of the lake a bit to get away from all the seaweed and then we did our swimming. A wonderful cabin to rent and Lance was prompt with his responses to my questions!!"
