“The staff need to be re-trained. House keeping was inconsistent - four towels, then two. Six waters, then none. Laundry had to be chased. The staff at the breakfast restaurant were appalling. Cutting in front all the time when walking, standing in groups talking whilst we were trying to open doors. Being told to move tables! Unhelpful at best. This is not a five star experience. Not even close.”

“This is my 3rd time staying at this hotel, I basically like this hotel because I feel it new, model, clean. I recommend to all my colleague who need to go to Sri Lanka.
However, this time, I feel a bit disappointed, the room wasn’t really clean,
- first day when I check-in, I find there have a bottle of water had been drunk half.
- I feel the carpet had something to bite
- sometime, the room service did not throw the rubbish even it was full
- room service will laid part of the quilt on the……

“We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay at Orion City Hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable and WiFi worked well. Hot water was plentiful. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. “It is a good location, a tuk tuk offers easy and quick access to Pettah market (fascinating and bustling), Colombo Fort Station (the main train station) and the beach area with modern hotels (although somewhat lacking in Sri Lankan atmosphere).
The room was spacious, air conditioned and clean, with en suite rooms supplying shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser.
The meals (both dinner and breakfast) were yummy. They also cater for veggie and vegan.

“Beautiful hotel, very centrally located and right next to the ocean.
Our room was nice and spacious and clean.
Staff and management were very nice and helpful all around.
Eg 1: I had hurt my ankle the previous day, and over our 2 day stay, they assisted my wife in getting ice for my leg.
Eg 2: We also needed a screwdriver to remove the battery from a toy we bought (for plane travel), and the staff went out of their way to help out with it (laughing at us).
