Upon arrival to check in we weren't informed that there was a wedding taking place that day at the hotel. Our room no 205 a family room was situated above the wedding reception venue. From about 9pm sat night the noise was noticeable from the wedding and then from 10.30pm till after midnight there were rowdy loud guests in the corridor and adjacent rooms which kept myself ,my partner and our daughter awake. We had gone away for the night for Charlotte birthday hoping to unwind and relax but this wasn't the case. We'd have had a better night's sleep if we'd stayed at home and saved myself the room fee. We have previously stayed here twice before and thoroughly enjoyed it but won't be back after the nights sleep we never got! It was a sad end to what had been a lovely day for us shopping,meal at the Ferry selkie in broughty ferry then stroll along the coast. I am thoroughly disappointed with the Carnoustie hotel after this!
