"The rooms were small but nice. Definitely a cool kyoto boutique vibe. Amenities were a free for all in boxes up at the front. Overall really clean. The directions to get in could be alittle easier. Like telling the people that the code for the room is for the box that you have to open. We figured it out on our own but 2 other people asked for help because it wasn't directly on the instructions. "

"This hotel is an absolutely beautiful location of Kyoto and in walking distance of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Yasaka Shrine, Pontocho Alley, and the rest of Gion. The property is beautifully kept and clean in a minimalist, Japanese fashion. The rooms (or at least mine) was small but welcoming and met all needs. The staff is friendly and helpful. There were some occasional language barriers, but we are truly the guests in this hotel and country and it was an overall wonderful experience."
