"The bathtub and shower were brand new looking. Which was nice. Tile sheets and Mattress were good. My only complaint would be the breakfast. The only thing close to cream for the coffee was skim milk. They have the commercial coffee creamers. I prefer half-and-half. There were no hard-boiled eggs scrambled eggs, bacon sausage. It was dry cereal. A waffle maker toast and English muffins. If you’re not looking forward to a good breakfast, it’s a good place to stay. It’s a good location for the national park. There is a Walmart 1 mile away plus all the Taco Bell hamburger, kind of places. No fresh brewed coffee. Just the coffee dispenser where you push a button to get coffee pre-mixed from instant coffee and simulated milk."

"The Old Clark Inn was excellent, Rooms are clean and the staff was very friendly. Caley and Rob, the In-keepers were awesome as they made sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay, The Inn has a lot of history as it was always an inn, which my wife and I loved. I recommend the Old Clark Inn and will stay again if we ever get a chance to go back to Marlinton WV to bike the Greenbriar Trail or even Snowshoe just up the road. Everything was awesome. Thank you, Caley, and Rob!"

"It was easy to check in and go to our room but we arrived late and we were unsure we were in the right place, they should really put a sign in front of the parking. Bed was very hard and noisy when u moved around. Place was decent but not great."

"The house is beautifully nestled in nature and, while it’s a bit of a drive from the New River Gorge, it’s ideally situated for exploring Summersville Lake. The construction doesn’t always have the most meticulous attention to detail, but what the property lacks in craftsmanship, it more than makes up for in thoughtful design, quality of light, character, and atmosphere. The house strikes a lovely balance between what feels like Nordic-inspired simplicity and warm, eclectic charm. If I had to describe the property in one word, it would be hygge—comfortable, inviting, unfussy, and designed around experience/presence. Array of amenities inclide: a static line, bonfire pit, espresso machine, impressive cooktop, rentable paddleboards, pool table, coin laundry, laundry chutes, and patio spaces. None of these feel particularly ornamental; together, they make the house feel more like a well-considered retreat than simply a place to sleep. We stayed in the suite, which was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out, as was the house as a whole. Ownership was approachable and responsive, which added to the ease and warmth of the stay. I’d recommend the property and would absolutely come back. It’s the kind of place that encourages you to linger a little longer—coffee in hand, somewhere between an adventure and an afternoon with a book."

"The property was clean, well maintained and perfect for my family to get away and enjoy WV. It was close to hiking, the lake and restaurants but tucked in a quiet neighborhood. Pluses were the game room, hot tub and fenced in back yard for the pups. Highly recommend!!"

"The cabin was as advertised. Close to Cass Railroad, Snowshoe, Sharps General Store, and Marlinton. Plenty of room for our group. Lots of games for the kiddo. We would definitely return. Host was very responsive ."
