8/10 Very Good! (3,023 reviews)
My first experience, after spending the entire day traveling, was not the best: hence, the "okay" rating. The elevator was dirty. The room was disappointing. First of all, I opened the drapes to see a cement wall with big pipes going this way and that. Next, I wanted to put my valuables into a safe. The safe was up on the top shelf of the closet. I couldn't reach it, so I turned over a waste basket and stood on it -not a good idea for a 76-year-old woman! Then, I used the older, wannabe Keurig machine, and the coffee and grounds splashed out everywhere! Finally, exhausted after unpacking, I decided to take a shower. The knob had pulled out from the wall, and I couldn't pull it further to start the water. Needless to say, I went to bed and went down to the front desk early in the morning.
I was told that they would fix the safe and the faucet; however, there is no guarantee of a view when you book through Expedia. I could pay $34 more a night for a better room with a view. I DID! My room was SOOO much better; it was bigger, with a working new Keurig, a safe in the bureau, and a bathroom with the shower room and toilet separated from the vanity (unlike the tiny first bathroom where everything was together), and a working faucet. There were Keurig cups and waters in the room daily, and I had a beautiful view of the mountains.
To sum up: my disappointing beginning turned into a very happy ending. Had this been my first room, I would simply have awarded 5 stars.
