“My son and I stayed 6 nights in an accessible room. The website mentions that you have to request housekeeping during longer stays, but even when we did, we found the service a bit unpredictable. There was no niche or shelf for toiletries in the shower, which was inconvenient. Of the five staff members I spoke to during the visit, only one graced us with a smile while we were there. The breakfast was ok, but only one day offered scrambled eggs and sausage; the biscuits and gravy on the other……

“We had an amazing, peaceful, and private stay—just what we wanted! The location was great and very close to everything decorah has to offer! The fall colors were beautiful and definitely showing off for us. We ended up using the air mattress to sleep on and that worked out really well for us as the back of the futon wasn’t very comfortable, but great for sitting! We were never able to find the trails that led down to the bottom of the Quarry, but that’s ok. We didn’t need to talk to the owners……
