“The house is beautiful. Simon was extremely communicative and we were able to check in and out without incident. We were unable to stay for breakfast but it smelled wonderful. The views were beautiful and it felt very comfortable and safe. Everyone should experience this beautiful bed and breakfast”

“What a beautiful place to stay, nestled along the river. You would never know that you were so close to a city. We were only there one night and had to leave early the next day, so we didn’t interact with anyone or have breakfast. If you like older homes with creaky floors, this place is for you. So much character! There are (2) homes to book. We stayed in the Grey House. One thing to note is the narrow drive to/from the property. It is wide enough for one car with a few places for the exiting……

“I first want to say the owners are very nice. I do think they wanted us to feel comfortable and welcome. The house is old and beautiful, my curiosity of growing up near this property made me want to stay here instead of Hampton Inn. The access to the living and dining room was appealing because my family still lives in keokuk and we don’t have anywhere big enough to relax and visit together. It does have such potential to be amazing if there are some changes made. There are no locks on any of……

“We were thrilled with the quiet, comfortable, spacious room. It was great for sleeping and for reading. The house and property are beautiful and fascinating historically and architecturally. The hosts were incredibly kind and even helped us out with a car issue. Breakfasts were generous and delicious--quiche, coffee cake, fruit salad, etc. We had a great time and were well pleased.”
