"We stayed for 2 nights and loved this hotel. The rooms were great and had the best Ocean view. Taking a ferry from the check in building to the hotel was an interesting experience. The hotel is huge with lots of dining options. We tried the dinner buffet one night, the service and food choice was really good. The next night we tried the ala la carte menu at a different restaurant. Both the times we found the food a bit bland but that’s probably because we are used to having spicier food on a daily basis. We took a day ferry from the hotel and all the arrangements were done very well from booking to car transfer to the boat, etc. The service by everyone was excellent! Will definitely return to this resort if I visit Ha Long again."

"Very fancy hotel! Super clean and the view is amazing. The only thing I’d say is it’s very out of the way, and there is no food options around either. The restaurants in the hotel has a weird vibe, no one is ever there, pretty empty.. it’s hard to order a grab or order food delivery because grab doesn’t allow their driver to enter this area.. you’d need to take the taxi out. "

"We enjoyed our 8-day stay at the Best Western Sapphire. Upon checking in, we were surprised to be asked to pay an additional fee for our 8-year-old daughter who is considered an additional adult rather than a child. Our hotel suite was very nice, fairly new, and had a view of Sun World’s Sun Hills. When we checked in, it was extremely busy due to Vietnamese Labor Day and Reunification Day (lots of tourists being bussed in and out each day) but the last few days of our stay were very quiet and we often had the pool and Kids Club to ourselves. One of the staff, Ha, was extremely kind and welcoming. We appreciated her hospitality. We tried a breakfast and a dinner at the hotel restaurant but it was pretty expensive for the value (around $40 USD for a family of four) so we often would take a 25-minute walk or a 5-minute Grab to the nearby mall area to eat. Our family really enjoyed Sun World Ha Long which was a 10-minute Grab ride away. Note that the Dragon theme park and Typhoon water park were closed frequently due to weather and possibly low attendance. "

"The whole trip was great experience for a two night package to see Ha Long Bay. The Cruise ship was well appointed and a great base to see the UNECO Heritage site. A few small concerns: the beaches we visited had a lot of rubbish, all boats/ships should invite customers to pick-up the rubbish to help preserve this special environment. Also the ship should have videos and other media which better present the site and environmental goals etc., as this was poring covered by staff."
