Excellent stargazing as advertised and not far from the Appalachian trail and Grayson Highlands depending on where you are traveling to. “Would definitely recommend. The Midge is a super cute cabin. It was very clean and the fire pit was a definite plus. With the porch lights off you can see a gazillion stars. No views like that in the city. The walking trails are great and go right by the river and its always fun to ride up to the dam where it feels like you're on top of the world. May stay here again on my next visit home.”

The location is very convenient to the city but you still feel like you are secluded.
