Really cool conversion of the first city hall of Duluth into a boutique hotel. Our room was on the "first" floor (really the basement) without any windows, which was a little freaky at first. It was so quiet, we felt we were the only people in the building, even though there were several lounges/bars. We parked in the secure parking ramp across the street, which meant we were walking by a number of unhoused people with all of our luggage. There are NO actual staff on the premises, but the many texts that we received were sufficient in terms of checking in/out, and gaining access to the building and our rooms.

The top floor rotating restaurant was great. Good food and the ever changing views with the rotation was very special.

We had a great view. The place was spotless. Furniture was good. Bed was a little more firm then my preference, but not terrible. Front desk staff recommended a nice Mexican restaurant and it was great. My only real complaint is there is not an ice machine. You can make ice in the room with ice trays, but didn't realize that until after dinner, and needed ice then.

Just what the doctor ordered. My husband and have been spending a lot of time at the doctor's this past year. We found a couple of days to drive up to Duluth. We chose this hotel beause we wanted to be on the water. This place is perfect! From the moment we drove into the parking lot we knew we made the right choice. My husband especiall enjoyed the "US Coast Guard" Ship outside our window and patio. Extra special were the gluten free options they had at breakfast. Easy walk to Canal Park and 5 minute walk to the beach with miles of Lake Superior shoreline.
