“The location is quite convenient and the room is good. Recommended to stay in the flats on ground floor; otherwise, you have to go up via a sharp slope stair with your baggages. The host cannot be contacted at weekends when we had some problems on handling the dishwasher (we only stayed here for one night at weekend). They finally replied us on weekday but it was close to our checkout time. We have already washed all the used dishes ourselves before their reply. ”

“I wish I had known that our room was on the 5th floor, attic apartment with a sloped roof. I'm tall and could only stand upright in the center of the room. I also wish I had paid attention that there was no elevator. The whole building has been beautifully renovated, but the apartment on the top floor does not look like the photos, because of the sloped roof. I appreciated the washer and dryer though. And the location near the ferry and the historic part of town was convenient. ”

“The hotel was in an ideal location for touring the port of Bergen. All of our tours left within blocks of the hotel. The breakfast was ok. The rooms were very small and the beds were not even the size of a twin. Not very comfortable”

“In summary one of the poorest hotel quality I can get for the last 10 years. We booked the deluxe twin bed room for 3 nights in Bergen. Whilst it says deluxe it’s actually two tiny beds which is surely not a standard single bed. We picked the hotel due to its location but actually there are plenty of better choices. First of all we took over 20 hours to get to Bergen and desperate for a good rest. We were woke up by heavy rock music at 2am in the morning. Then the music lasted till around 4 am……

“Breakfast was excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. Location is perfect. Room design and hygiene can be improved. It would be better if a curtain can be added to the shower area so that toilet floor won’t get wet. Also, the wash basin was partly clogged, and this could be a problem.”

“pros: nice view over the harbour. good and abundant breakfast. cons: room's small, a bit awkward by the standard of a deluxe size. well maintained but still old and lacks noise-cancelling. ”
