So so amazing for solo traveling (or not!) went with a coworker, beds were comfy, staff was so chill, and stayed up til early morning chatting with people.
Huge shoutout to the staff at Ember Hostel—they were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. The property itself felt like a cozy home, especially the wonderful backyard area, making it a fantastic place to naturally meet people. Plus, it's situated in the perfect part of Denver for exploring the city.
Having only known Denver through its airport with all the ski carousels in the past, I had always assumed it was just a white skier town. Visiting in person completely changed my perspective. I was wonderfully surprised by how diverse the city is, as well as how bike-friendly it is. Incorporating the river, streams, and local murals into the transit trails gives the city such a unique vibe. Overall, a fantastic experience!
The place is good very well located so you can walk basically everywhere I would like the place implemented a bit more flexible scheduling is 3pm but some guess might come early and still have to wait other than that everything was great the environment, the place etc recommended for sure
I always feel safe, all the staff are amazing and the level of hospitality is beyond. They recommend places to have a dinner or beer and I loved it as well. Best hostal in the town!
There are some restaurants in short walking distance if you want to eat out instead of cook. There are also multiple bus lines nearby to take you into the city center. All the staff I interacted with were polite and accomodating. I felt welcome.
I was very impressed when I entered the hostel, even though I had to wait until after 3pm to check in. Going downstairs to the hostel portion, I quickly became unimpressed. The kitchen was too small for more than 1 person to cook and eat in, and that was the only place to eat. No soap or shampoo in showers, you have to buy it. The 16 bed dorm room had only 1 small, loud A/C unit and did nothing to cool the extremely hot room. No ice machine. I had difficulty sleeping as I lay sweating in my bed, I young man who checked me inn was extremely helpful, which was the only positive. I would not stay here again.
I’ve stayed here plenty of times in the past and I have zero complaints. Of the two hostels available in Denver. The ember hostel is my favorite when it comes to atmosphere, friendliness of staff, and it’s in the Capitol Hill area, which is within 2 miles of places like Ball Arena for a nuggets or Avalanche game. It’s about a seven dollar scooter ride to the game, but there are a lot of places to eat nearby. And on this particular visit, accidentally discovered how close the Denver art museum was. If I could change one thing about this hostel, I would make it closer to Ball Arena than it is. But the sacrifice on distance to the game is worth the overall experience in comparison to the other hostel in Denver.
