“Excellent relaxing weekend break whilst down here for a wedding The room was very spacious with a lovely balcony and deep bath. So quiet never heard anything from other guests Lovely gardens and breakfast was first class Had a fabulous morning in the spa the day after the wedding and relaxing on the sunloungers in the walled garden Would highly recommend”

“Just not very good, reasonable price but not really budget or bargain, Great location next to the train, Great Western beach and Pub, Just not a very good hotel. The single room is tiny with a tiny bed and looks more like a student doss house. No air con, fan doesn't work, no lift to the 3rd floor. Staff often not available at all, has a chintzy looking restaurant in the front but no idea what or if they serve, so many better places to eat, or stay for that matter. Tired.”

“Room was spacious, but under a function room, and the noise transmitted down. We had cool weather, and the room was warm. No aircon, so can imagine it would be very uncomfortable in hot weather. The room telephone and TV did not work when we got the room. Fixed the next day. TV was not networked, so no iPlayer etc. The Sundeck advertised with the room was a private patio outside. Ok, but not really private. Also cigarette butts not cleared away from previous occupants. Pool and gym ok……

“Beautiful superior room with balcony view of the bay. Handy access to the train, shops, and restaurants. Good Continental breakfast and handy valet parking for &10/night.”

“Overall I had a very nice stay. I was however, disappointed on the first night, which was my birthday not to be able to book a room in the restaurant due to a wedding taking place. It would have been nice to have been made aware of this beforehand. Just be prepared to pre book the restaurant.”

“I ended up booking this on a lark, and what great fortune it was! The location, the attention to details, the fluidity of welcoming attentive and informative staff to impeccable grounds, made it a memorable stay. They combine high end service w/ a feeling of being at home, I will most definitely be booking with them again. Highlights: Spa inclusion w/ room stay (sauna, steam bath all pools especially heated outdoor!) location: coastal pathway to St Charles. Nature walks, no cars to everything……

“Property well kept. Bedroom all good with a mini bar with soft drinks included. Breakfast and dinner good. Only grip was the bar, presentation of drinks poor, and staff need more training. More staff training required.”
