“Despite the 1960s look from the front and the scaffolding this hotel is built into the side of the hill is a hidden gem. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The food was excellent and the views of Mawgan Porth were stunning even in the unpleasant weather that we had. Really enjoyed the spa too. Even the Yogi tea that was on offer. Would definitely stay there again”

“Our 3 bedroom barn lodge was clean, warm and cosy throughout. Beds were comfy although a little small (double beds in 2 out of 3 rooms) put in the rooms quite small so would only fit in double beds. Bathrooms were spotless. Sofas were huge and comfy. Had a really enjoyable day and would come back again.”

“The staff is exceptional! I have come to this hotel many times in the past 30days and have always been received warmly and professionally. Top marks for the location ( 3 minutes walk from Train Station ). The rooms are very clean and normally have a Smart TV with all the VOD channels.”

“Breakfast has been scaled down in selection, quality & service and seemed disorganised. Also, as a vegan, there is very little available on the buffet table though I acknowledge they offer a cooked vegan breakfast which is good if you want hot. The granola which I like had run out & I couldn't find a member of staff free to inform them so went without. It would be a thoughtful touch if biscuits in the room were dairy & egg free just to cater fr a wider clientele. ”

“Had a poor experience at this hotel I would not visit again I checked in 31st March had a long drive down the woman on the reception was not helpful at all we checked in slightly earlier but she just said check in is 3pm I get that I’ve travelled the world my point is she was just rude she couldn’t even suggest in waiting in the lobby, I had to take all my cases back to the car as there is no direct car park for this hotel which is another joke no one tells you this till you arrive so they take……

“Have stayed before but this time we had a two bedroom apartment. As with our previous stays, the apartment was comfortable, warm, well equipped. Yes a bit worn in places. Cooking facilities could be a little better eg. Condition of frying pan, no cooking oil but otherwise everything you could need. Facilities on site are excellent. Adventure golf was very good. “Fantastic hotel in a lovely spot and not far from Padstow or Port Isaac etc.. The rooms were clean and well equipped with comfy (if slightly soft) beds, a Dyson fan if required and even Sky TV! Staff were very helpful and efficient. The gym was very well equipped despite being small and the spa facilities were excellent. I had a Cowshed Spa treatment which was very thorough and relaxing.
