“We enjoyed a two night stay there recently. We had the room with an outing seating area which definitely made it more spacious and as the weather was reasonably good we sat outside quite a bit. The swimming pool was a brilliant experience and all in all we had a great time. “Disappointing Although refurbished to a good standard, the hotel has unfortunately kept a 1930s style lift, great to look at, but quite useless as a functioning lift. Particularly useless if you’re on the fourth floor as it only goes to three. It has a metal shutter style inner door that if left open when leaving, renders the lift inoperable. In a three day stay I had to find the lift on at least six occasions to close the door as my wife needed to use it. I would therefore, not recommend……
