"Loud music everyday from 8am. Feels like a party hostel everywhere you go. On the second day we were assured that the "event" would be over in 1h and that next day would be quiet. The following day was an even bigger party on the whole venue. If you are looking for a party-hostel it is a good place. Facilities are nice, service is good and food is acceptable. Don't expect to relax or have a quiet meal though. "

"Although the photos look great, there were numerous things that caused us to check out early. There was only 1 stained towel, no hand towel, just a single bath towel for 2 people. The bed was uncomfortable. TV did not work. WiFi did not work."

"No electricity at the time of check-in and before check-out. Apparently the back up generator was faulty too. Room was very hot. When i requested for a fan, i was told that they had non left. No shower gels except to small soap bars. Room appeared abit run down compared to my precious stay 5 years ago. Day 2 breakfast was limited and I had to wait over 45 minutes for replenishment."

"This place has potential. The rooms were clean but there was no hot water, the bathroom windows did not shut properly so could net be secured. It is off the beaten path and a bit hard to find. The set-up around the pool is nice. There were mosquito nets and the bed was comfy. The tv had one station and there was no wi-fi. Breakfast was good but selection was limited. "

"Hursey Resort was a very pleasant stay for us. It is just outside Soroti (about 5km) on the edge of town with views of the surrounding area. The hotel is in secure compound with large garden grounds. The Staff are excellent, very professional, helpful and friendly. The room was large, clean and very comfortable with AC and plenty of hot water for the shower. Wifi was generally good and quite fast. "The food was horrible if you are not a fish eater you could go with out food. Warning the chicken curry is full of bones broken and sharp. Our complementary breakfast never came. they have 3 items on there dinner menu and you still have to wait 1.5 to 2 hours for it to arrive. When you go to check out they had no credit card machine so that added a layer of difficulty to the stay. "
