“Pros— The location was excellent!! 10/10 The pools are beautiful & you can walk right out to the beach & snorkel. The lawn chairs are comfortable with big umbrellas for people who want shade. The housekeeping, maintenance, and breakfast staff were so kind. Please bring money to tip them- they deserve it! Breakfast has a lot of wonderful options - we were pleasantly surprised. Our specific room (these vary) was large with a great balcony. Cons— The elevator broke several times, which was okay……

“A beautiful resort with amazing amenities, a beautiful beach front, high end finishes and great service. The service was a bit slow at times but the staff were wonderful. All restaurants were good. We had a great dinner at Alera, with great appetites appetisers, cocktails and premium steaks. The spa was also very beautiful and had great treatments and massages, however the prices for the Spa are a bit steep, considering you already a guest at the hotel, I think they should offer better prices.……

“They only part that was disappointing was the food at the Pool, Nachos were bad and the oil they cooked the French fries in was old and they where to greasy. Breakfast buffet was excellent.”

“The staff were wonderful and the clear blue waters were breathtaking. This is a perfect relaxation location. The huts over the ocean were amazing and the masseuse in the beach tents were charming and excellent.”

“Very nice resort. Dinner and breakfast were great. Only minor issue is the restaurant staff is not well trained and ordering was difficult, slow to get drink refills and paying the bill took way too long. They were all very nice and tried hard, but they just seemed like they were learning how to do their jobs. Great stay overall.”

“Loved this place. The staff were amazing and also very accommodating. We looked forward to the breakfast each morning. The food was delicious no matter what we ordered. Everyone was nice. Sasha was great! I would highly recommend Puerta Azul and if I get the chance, I would stay there again!”

“This is my second time to this hotel. The first time was 7 years ago and it was very good. But this time it was very bad, no internet, no cell phone signal. Also, you could cook in the apartment before, but now there is nothing, the kitchen is just for decoration.”

“Me and my family had a great time at La Placita Inn, the room was extremely clean and big enough to fit a party of four. Cleaning service was great and breakfast was amazing! We also had lunch at their restaurant and the food was great. You also have access to the pool and the beach chairs, I wish we stayed longer. Thanks to Edward, Yasmin and all their staff for all their help and hospitality. We can’t wait to come back and stay at the La Placita Inn next year. If you’re looking for a great……
